ABOUT

truckee community christmas logo-01.png

Truckee Community Christmas is an all-volunteer, non profit 501(c)(3) umbrella organization that coordinates various drives that are happening during the holidays to help families in need in the Truckee area. Our board members work with agencies such as the Sierra Community House, Head Start, Nevada County Health, the STEPP program and area schools and churches to identify needy families and provide grocery store gift cards and age-appropriate toys for each child in the family. The senior program provides grocery gift cards to identified low income seniors and to area homebound seniors. All goods provided to recipients are donated by community members.

Last year, Truckee Community Christmas benefited just under 800 individuals. All residents in the Truckee area are invited to pitch in and help where they can! To find out more about how you can help, visit Our Programs and our Volunteer pages.

Applications for the 2022 season will be accepted from October 20 to November 18, 2022.

Look out for our Toy collection bins throughout town and please consider donating a new unwrapped toy to our cause.

Our distribution day will be held on Saturday, December 17. If you applied to our program and were approved you will receive a confirmation card via U.S. mail.
